Ever since i have seen post about Navagio on Jessica's blog, the idea about visiting this place haven't left my mind until i actually went there. And i did it twice. Check! I can now admit this is my absolute favourite place in Zakynthos. The place and the beach underneath is well known as "Shipwreck" because of the ship aborted here on the island around 30 years ago. This was actually an italian mafia smuggeling cigarettes from Italy to...well dont know the final destination. But they ended up here near Navagio and a greek guy who was telling us the whole story profited from this accident with 1 year free smoking!!! Quite beneficial, right?
It is just unbelievable to see the two-toned color of the sea and the amazing view! It is just spectacular. I visited this place twice. Once in the morning which i recommend for the best light to take some great shots and in the evening to watch the sun setting down on the clear waters of the Ioanian sea. Awwww what an amazing place this was!
